i've gone to look for america.

It took me four days to hitchhike from Saginaw.

So I had this queued to go off yesterday, as I was flying over America, but it didn’t work, and I was going to say something like this: i’m on the plane to california right now, hopefully, but this is what i had to leave this morning at 4am. i love traveling and i’m so thankful for this job that allows me to do so, so often, but sometimes all i want to do is snuggle with these guys. & California is nice and all, but I don’t want it, I’ll give it to people who do! I just want my home.

Leaving Harvard after a meeting, the town not the college, so I’ll be missing the opening ceremony for the 100th year of Fenway Park and music by John Williams! But at least I can still see my two favorite teams play…the Red Sox rented every parking space within like a mile plus radius or something ridiculous around Fenway so all their special guests would have special parking, which means the actual fans driving to the game have to park crazy far away and pay like $50, at least everyone gets to toast grape juice!

tomorrow i’m off from work since it’s patriots day aka the boston marathon and the state of massachusetts has a holiday- after all, all those runners will be making their way through a good chunk of towns/cities that the majority of our clients are located in! but it’s supposed to be in the 90’s, so i’ll enjoy the beach!

A few snapshots from our work day/Maura’s birthday! We had to file papers at the Norwood Town Hall- see that amazing staircase! We got ocean slush at Sonic in Peabody, then hit the Willows on the water (named for all the willow trees), then walked around Winter Island Park and Ft Pickering, also in Salem, Massachusetts. Such a pretty place! & we drove past our great-grandmothers old house on Federal St in Salem- she lived in a grand mansion that was sadly sold by her kids when she passed away, something I’ll never understand! But all in all it was a nice work birthday for Maura!

One of our clients just expanded into Texas so I may be getting to travel down there! My boss said he isn’t going cos no one takes him seriously with his Boston accent, which sucks, but I’ll take the slack. Plus, this client has a herd of cattle roaming their parcel so they don’t have to pay for landscaping/grass cutting. It’s a cute move by them.
