i've gone to look for america.

first off, my hair is long enough for pigtail braids! (can you even tell?) it grows like a weed & for that, i am thankful. (& kinda thankful for big ol’ cartoon eyes.)

secondly, you know that feeling you get when you lust after something so badly? like a person who needs to travel and can’t stay in one place, well that’s not me, but i am lusting after something so bad it hurts. how do you suppress that “want” feeling? i know, take things day by day, cherish every moment, but the “want” will always be in the back of my mind & any little thing could trigger it. it’s like we’re stuck in quick sand, the world is passing by us at every angle & although we’re living it, it’s not where/how we want to be living it right now. we have everything we need & there’s no complaint, but that next step in our lives is waiting for us, just over the horizon. & man does the “want” /desire hurt.

getting things rolling. today we sent in our adoption application for this little guy; sent in our beach cottage application; and got our voting taken care of for the NH Primary that we’re going to miss while in the golden state. (& yes, he does only have one eye. poor thing got hit by a car; i love beings with personality.)

my sights are set on swimming. can’t wait to float down the river this afternoon.

addicted to tea- hot, cold, lukewarm, frozen, etc- means being prone to cankers. hopefully by shoving a straw down my throat to drink without it hitting the walls of my mouth will prevent the pain.
