march 4th: bedside. my side of the bed- a wooden plank over our 1918 radiator, complete with bobble water bottle; cigar box made into a purse that now holds all my old movie/concert tickets; tiny bulldog planter; teal candle; vintage video camera; bobby-pins; pineapple; 1906 poor richard jr’s almanack; brookstone travel clock/radio/thermometer that a guest left behind back when i worked at a hotel & i love it; & an eye mask for those rare occasions when hayes gets home early enough for us to fall asleep together, but he always stays up later than me with the tv on, so that’s where the eye mask comes in.
received the most adorable little scenery paintings from mum! (how old are we that we still have posters on the wall? they go with the theme yeah, but if we’re gonna keep ‘em let’s frame them.)
