why didn’t anyone ever tell me how adorable salem, nh is? i only know of it from driving through it on highway 93, canobie lake park & the rockingham mall/that strip of congested commercialization, which always deterred me from it. but taking the back roads home from boston this afternoon, driving just one road parallel to that unfortunate madness, brought me to its historic downtown (see old town hall above) & i am smitten! plus it has so many little ponds/lakes scattered throughout, something to think about..
