I’ve probably posted this before, but it still never ceases to amaze me. This family cemetery in Kennebunk, Maine probably plotted this site in the middle of the woods, circa 1800s, thinking no one would ever disturb them, now it’s adjecent to I-95, four lanes each way, poor family. All I can think about is how much those headstones must erode each year with the sand, salt and debris flying off the highway!

Oh my gosh! Just stopped at the Cranberry Island Kitchen in Portland, ME cos we were in the mood for whoopie pies- which are the official treat of Maine…and they have amazing pumpkin ones! With maple cream cheese filling. Plus they’ve won all sorts of awards and beat Bobby Flay in a whoopie pie contest or something, I was too busy stuffing my face to listen to details. The stuff you learn when you follow cravings.

Oh man, I just went to one of my favorite restaurants in maine for a lunch meeting and ate such a delicious meal. Grilled zuccini, summer squash, red peppers and eggplant on foccia bread with a goat cheese spread and a side of homemade potato salad with the perfect amount of vinegar. I was dying to take a photo of it but I didn’t want to be like, it’s for my blog! I’m no good at business time.
