ecophotographyarchives:

Fog below the dawn, Sugarloaf Mountain, Nash Stream State Forest, New Hampshire. I shot this photo in 2000 while shooting photos for the Nature Conservancy’s new Bunnell Preserve in Columbia, New Hampshire. Camping is not allowed in the state forest, so I had to start hiking the trail to the summit around 3:00 a.m. in order to make it in time for a June sunrise. I couldn’t have been better rewarded!
